In groups, we were given a project to ‘re-imagine the notion of a stool’ which reflected contemporary culture.

As a group we decided to design a chair which promotes awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. After some time researching and becoming familiar with the side effects and symptoms of the disease, we soon realised that mood swings in Alzheimer’s is very common yet a side effect people may not understand or be aware of. As a result of this our chair fundamentally represents the severity of mood swings in Alzheimer’s through an angular structure composed of 6 equilateral and 3 right angle triangles
